BSA Troop 300 completed their annual 50 Miler Trip mid June 2026. The statistics were: 52 Miles. 4 Whitewater Rafting. 24 Biking. 24 Backpackingbon the AT. 5 Days. 4 Nights. 7 Scouts. 4 Scout leaders on Trip. 4 Adult leaders on Logistics support. 1 Troop Trailer. 1 Bike Trailer. Memories to last a lifetime.

In honor of Memorial Day 2026, members of BSA Troop 300 braved the wet weather conditions to help change the flags at the Dreher Avenue Cemetery. Thank you to Troop and Pack 86 for allowing Troop 300 to continue to be a part of this meaningful community service project.

BSA Troop 300 participated in an outing to Pouch Scout Reservation on Staten Island, NY on this beautiful May weekend. They stayed at Pouch for two nights and traveled to Manhattan taking the Staten Island Ferry. While in Manhattan they saw the Wall Street Bull, the FDNY Engine 10 and Ladder 10 Firehouse, the FDNY Memorial Wall, the September 11 Memorial, and St Paul's Chapel built in 1776. At Pouch they played games, fished, ate some good food and enjoyed one anothers compan

Troop 300 got to celebrate with Aidan and his family at his Eagle Court of Honor. There was laughter and tears. It was a wonderful ceremony. Troop 300 is honored to have had the pleasure of seeing Aidan achieve this well desrved high honor.

Troop 300 stayed the weekend at Hickory Run State Park. The Scouts successfully navigated the first nine coordinates on the parks orienteering course. They had to get bearings using a compass and map as well as identifying and understanding how to use terrain as a guide. All scouts participated and gained valuable experience despite the cold and wet conditions! We also visited Boulder Field for a photo opt before heading home.

Troop 300 and other volunteers planted 6 trees in Glen Park on Saturday April 18th with Stroudsburg Shade Tree Commission. The event celebrated Arbor day.

Tyler constructed raised beds with a fence around them at Faith United Methodist Church for his Eagle Project.

BSA Troop 300 spent a late March weekend at Camp Acahela of the NEPA Council in Blakeslee. The camp is set along the Lehigh River and the Tobyhanna Creek. Scouts stayed in a propane heated cabin, as temperatures hit 19 degrees at night. This was the first trip for crossover Scouts. Everyone did some tree identification, trail and site maintenance, knots, a night hike and a fair amount of recreation time spent with football!

Troop 300 had their first Court of Honor of the New Year. Congratulations to all who earned Awards, Advancements, and Merit badges!

BSA Troop 300 participated in the annual Monroe District Minsi Trails Council Klondike on the last weekend of February 2026. The Scouts slept in their own tents, hammocks, or under the stars in under 32 degree temperatures. They did all of the events and put forth a great effort by both sleds/patrols! Great job everyone, be sure to go back next year and bring home some hardware!

BSA Troop 300 would like to thank all our generous supporters and donors for the help in purchasing a new Troop Trailer. We have recently picked up the trailer from Dry Creek RV and Simplex Signs did the beautiful labeling for us. It is truly a functional work of art. We are proud of all the work of our Eagles that are so prominently displayed now on two sides of the trailer! Keep up all the hard work and thanks to our dedicated Leaders and Scouts.

Congratulations to scouts of Troop 300 for passing The Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST) and completing their Aviation merit badge. Under the guidance of Anthony and help from Robert, scouts are now officially certified for recreational drone flight.

Scouts from BSA Troop 300 participated in a Sleepover at Faith United Methodist Church on Saturday December 13. Games were played, food was eaten, and some history about the Sullivan Expedition of the 18th century was learned. Mother nature dumped more snow than anticipated so a tour of the Sullivan Trail will happen at a later date.

Aidan created a prayer garden for his Eagle project. This provides a lasting space for reflection and peace for his church community.

Troop 300 celebrated their last meeting of 2025. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's!

BSA Troop 300 participated in a Survival Weekend at Camp Trexler. Scouts braved cold and wet conditions in mid November in the Pocono Mountains.

BSA Troop 300 participated in the annual Scouting for Food program on November 1 and November 8, 2025. Thanks to the Scouts, leaders, parent volunteers, and the generosity of our Stroudsburg neighbors we were able to collect over 2,200 pounds for the Christ Episcopal Church Food Pantry in Stroudsburg.

Troop 300 enjoyed a weekend camping at Tobyhanna State Park. The scouts prepared their own meals, embarked on a 5-mile hike around the lake, and even had a bear family pass through their camp! Everyone remained safe and shared some unforgettable moments!
